About our Project

Hi, we are the cabbegologist, For this(story of the seed) project a set of experiments were conducted, to evaluate to what extent the growth rate of brassica oleracea (a plant species that includes many common foods as cultivars, including cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, savoy, kohlrabi, and gai lan.) is affected by variation in salinity. For this project we used cabbage-one of the many brassica oleracea species.
we planted our cabbage around 3 weeks ago and since then it has made a lot of progress. we planted the cabbage so there would be enough sun and where the building would not block it from getting the sun. our plant has grown around 5 inches out of the soil. The cabbage needs more room in the garden since it is a wider plant than others but the cabbage is usually a shorter vegetable. Jacob and I planted the cabbage in the garden along with the other vegetables. Seran created the website so we could write about the cabbage and how much its grown and what the status of its health is.
The cabbage is planted in the garden is doing well so far and we have not ran into any problems. We went to check on it today and it look like it was doing well. The date is 10/26/17. I think our plant is going to be able to produce food and maybe we will be able to eat it one day. So far our plant looks like its doing well and its growing at a steady rate.
